EU GREEN DEAL

EU GREEN DEAL

EU GREEN DEAL ; The European green agreement is an agreement that aims to be a zero-carbon zone by 2050 and specific strategies have been developed to achieve this goal. Among these strategies is the implementation of various business models. Following the EU Green Deal action plan, a clean, green and safe, sustainable world is targeted. At the same time, protecting ecosystems and biodiversity and reducing carbon emissions to zero are among the other targets.

SECTORS TO BE AFFECTED BY THE GREEN RECONCILIATION

Developing renewable energy products and systems and providing energy generation from renewable sources are one of the most important issues for the EU Green Deal. For this reason, sustainable and environmentally friendly products will be at the forefront in the action plan. This action plan directly affects many sectors in the business world. The sectors that will be affected by the green agreement are as follows:

  • Energy sector
  • Cement, iron-steel, construction industry
  • Agriculture and food industry
  • Air conditioning industry
  • Packaging and packaging industry
  • textile sector

What to Do for the Green Deal

In the business world, sectors need to be included in the action plan in order to continue their export activities. Care should be taken to ensure that the products produced are environmentally friendly and sustainable. In this way, sectors will be able to maintain their position and continue to compete. These are the measures that should be taken to prevent the sectors from being adversely affected and to support the fight against the climate crisis:

  • A system should be developed to measure and regularly report the company's carbon emissions.
  • Carbon emission accounting should be established within the company. The extra costs of the carbon tax should be uncovered
  • Renewable and clean energy sources should be preferred in the production and distribution process.
  • Modern technologies should be developed to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption.
  • New investments should be made by taking into account the green agreement targets and carbon emission rates. Regulations to be issued by the European Union should be followed closely.
  • In the SKD regulation, preparations should be made throughout the country and specific to companies. These preparations should be announced as widely as possible.
  • Green production should be started and global advertising campaigns should be carried out on the transition to green production.
  • Decarbonization policy should be determined and these policies should be implemented
  • Recyclable and sustainable, environmentally friendly materials should be preferred in the production process.
  • Waste must be minimized or even reduced to zero.
